Jacaranda

DSCN4907_Snapseed

My home town is Pretoria, I was born and went to school there. No matter where I have lived
in the world, there is always a sense of coming home when I am in Pretoria. One of the things I miss the most about living away from Pretoria, is the Jacaranda trees that flower in spring. It marks the end of winter and the start of another glorious summer. The streets are lined with Jacaranda trees. Pretoria is also known as the Jacaranda city. When the flowers fall they make a carpet of delicate purple flowers on the roads and pavements. A promise of summer.
